INTECSEA provides our customers will full specialist engineering services for all floating offshore field development options.

We are experienced in the design of the complete range of offshore systems, from xmas tree to a facility’s export flange, including topsides process systems. Our floating facility capabilities span:

  • Spars, Tension Leg Platforms (TLP)
  • Semi-submersibles
  • Floating Production Storage and Offtake (FPSO) vessels
  • Floating Production Units (FPU)
  • Floating Storage and Offtake (FSO) vessels

INTECSEA has been involved in 70 conventional floaters, in 22 countries.  Of these, 46 are FPSOs, 2 are FPUs and 22 are FSOs.

Typically, our involvement in a project might begin with providing FPSO/FSO input into concept screening studies, to determine the optimal solution for a development.  We maintain a world-class database to assist the economic evaluation of all offshore field development options.

Our customers are assured of an unbiased, independent assessment of the best development solution for their project and INTECSEA draws upon WorleyParsons’ group-wide global resources, giving access to experience gained on developments across a diverse range of environments.

Early focus on a project is given to:

  • Conceptual engineering and option development
  • Rapid, order of magnitude cost screening to determine relative estimates, followed by CAPEX and OPEX modelling
  • Contract strategy development and project execution planning
  • Cost and schedule risk analysis and benchmarking

The FEED and EPCM capabilities of INTECSEA enable the following FPSO/FSO services to be provided:

  • Hull – new-build design or acquisition, or converted acquisition assistance (specification development, tender and procurement assistance, conversion candidate vessel inspection, plan approval and construction/conversion supervision)
  • Topsides - process system design, long-lead item identification, equipment specification, tender and procurement assistance, plan approval, construction/conversion supervision and installation and commissioning
  • Mooring - system selection, design, long-lead item identification, specification, tender and procurement assistance, plan approval, construction/conversion supervision and installation and commissioning

Cognisant of the importance of good interface management to the success of FPSO/FSO projects, significant attention is paid to this throughout.

During the operation phase, INTECSEA has provided customers with maintenance assistance and brown-field debottle-necking and process system upgrades.
