What are you working on at the moment?

The Zambezi River Coal Barging Project in Mozambique.  This involves the loading; transportation by barge (over a distance of more than 500km); and transhipping at sea of more than 10Mtpa of coal from the Moatize Basin.  In addition, I am working on a range of other marine and coastal projects involving coastal erosion, dredging, beach nourishment, submarine cables, offshore artificial reefs and small craft facilities.

What is the most exciting project you have worked on at WorleyParsons?

There are two projects: the Sydney Desalination Project (Water Delivery Alliance) where I was a member of the Alliance Leadership Team; and the Zambezi River Coal Barging Project where I am Project Manager on behalf of Riversdale Mining.

What attracted you to WorleyParsons?

The company which I partly owned, Patterson Britton & Partners, was acquired by WorleyParsons in 2007.  The attraction of WorleyParsons was the opportunity to become involved in larger scale projects, more international projects, and provide growth opportunities for our staff.
