What are you working on at the moment?
I am mainly responsible for managing projects related to the Coastal & Marine sector. I am currently working on a pre-FEED for Mtwara Port Phase II Development in Tanzania and providing a supporting role to the FMG Anketell Port Development study team.
What do you like the most about working for WorleyParsons?
The variety of customer sectors that Infrastructure & Environment group services ensures an interesting job experience and the opportunity to be hands-on in a project. During my time at WorleyParsons, I have worked in and developed relationships in the marine and coastal, civil, transport and water customer sectors. It is this variety that makes each day working at WorleyParsons a unique experience.
What is the most exciting project you have worked on at WorleyParsons?
Managing the rehabilitation of the Perth Concert Hall was a highlight. This was very much a hands-on project where WorleyParsons had to develop engineering solutions to preserve and retain the brutalistic architecture of the Perth Concert Hall whilst carrying out concrete repairs and protective coatings to its structure. It was very satisfying to see the final product turn out the way we intended.
Another highlight was the role of representing WorleyParsons as design engineers for the Australian Maritime Complex Transfer and Interface Wharf in Henderson south of Perth. My role was to provide technical superintendence during the construction phase of the project.
The past year has also provided opportunities for me to be actively involved in substantial port projects in Western Australia such as Oakajee Port in Geraldton and FMG’s Anketell Port Development. Exciting times lie ahead for WorleyParsons.
