On 27 September 2011, WorleyParsons and Siemens Energy entered into a long term framework agreement under which WorleyParsons’ Global Procurement Centre (GPC), based in Shanghai, will provide procurement, and procurement associated engineering services for gas and steam turbine projects around the world.
Claudia Holz, Vice President of Siemens Energy Solutions Supply Chain and Partner Management, Global Strategies and Programs stated: “This is a good step forward for both companies. With having this agreement in place Siemens will be able to leverage our own procurement organization with the well proven GPC knowledge for our global power plants projects”.
During the signing ceremony, Karl Qiu, President of WorleyParsons China echoed Mrs. Holz’s confidence by stating: “WorleyParsons China is honored to be chosen by Siemens as their global strategic partner in this exciting endeavour. The agreement allows both companies to combine their knowledge to offer customers the optimum solutions for their projects.
