Professional services firm Worley Group Limited (“Worley”) is pleased to announce that Worley Arabia Limited has been awarded a contract with a potential value of $30 million per annum to provide management and engineering services for the offshore oil and gas facilities owned by Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia.

The contract will cover all of Saudi Aramco’s ongoing offshore oil and gas projects including fixed platforms and submarine pipelines for the next five years with provisions to extend for an additional four years.

Work on the contract is expected to commence in April 2003.

Worley Arabia Limited is a 50:50 joint venture which was established in 2000 and has since been undertaking work with Saudi Aramco, especially in the fields of onshore facilities and pipeline design. This contract was won in the face of strong international competition.

Worley Chief Executive Officer, Mr John Grill, said:

“The Saudi Aramco contract win is a major achievement for the company as it consolidates Worley Arabia’s already strong relationship with the world’s largest oil and gas company and demonstrates the benefits of our strategy to pursue geographic expansion with partners who bring complementary skills and local knowledge.

“Worley currently has a number of significant bids under consideration and is optimistic about the prospects of generating future growth from these and its existing customers.”
