WorleyParsons has reached agreement with Akkuyu NGS Elektrik Üretim Anonim Şirketi (“project company”), to provide consultancy services during the preconstruction phase of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey through to the end of April 2013 when the construction permit is scheduled to be obtained.
Consultancy services contract for nuclear power plant in Turkey
The project company was established pursuant to the agreement signed on 12 May 2010 between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Russian Federation on Cooperation in Relation to the Construction and Operation of a Nuclear Power Plant at the Akkuyu Site in the Republic of Turkey.
Chief Executive Officer of WorleyParsons, John Grill, commented: “This award demonstrates our experience and expertise in new nuclear build consulting and is an important early stage award on the project.”
