Contract award with MEG Energy Corp.

WorleyParsons is pleased to announce the award of a contract for module construction services with MEG Energy Corp. (“MEG Energy”) as part of the continuing expansion of MEG Energy’s Christina Lake steam-assisted gravity drainage (“SAGD”) project.

Contract award for module construction services

WorleyParsonsCord, the construction group for WorleyParsons in Canada, will be responsible for fabrication of approximately 100 piperack modules for Phase 2B of the Christina Lake SAGD project. The modules will be fabricated at WorleyParsonsCord facilities in Edmonton, Alberta. The estimated contract value is CAD 41 million.

MEG Energy shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “MEG”. MEG Energy is focused on sustainable in situ oil sands development and production in the southern Athabasca region of Alberta, Canada and is actively developing enhanced oil recovery projects using SAGD extraction methods.
