WorleyParsons executes complex Ibn Sina POM project in less than a year

WorleyParsons China is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Ibn Sina POM (Polyoxymethylene) FEED project on 24 August 2011.

This complex project was executed in less than a year by a highly cohesive team of Ibn Sina and WorleyParsons people centred in Beijing.

Ibn Sina is a SABIC affiliate, also known as the National Methanol Company, located in the Industrial City of Jubail, Saudi Arabia. POM, a derivative of methanol, is a plastic used extensively in the automotive and electronics industry. WorleyParsons received recognition from Ibn Sina for flexibility in implementing changes, adhering to the agreed schedule, completing the work under budget, and for assistance in identifying ideas to reduce the total installed and life cycle cost of the plant.
