WorleyParsons executed a major multi-disciplinary study of the capacity of the Acacia Ridge Intermodal Terminal, located near Brisbane, Australia.
The study included assessment of rail schedules, track and storage configurations to determine the ability of the yard to meet future demand and accommodate other users. The team developed a computer model of the terminal. The model allowed the operation of the terminal to be evaluated, bottlenecks identified and the capacity for growth estimated.
