Woodside and its partners have extensive gas reserves in the Browse Basin off Western Australia’s Kimberley coast and plan to use these as the basis of a new LNG production hub in this region.

A key component of the  feasibility and Basis of Design works was the  strategic analysis of the costs and environmental benefits of engineering design options for this offshore LNG development in a sensitive marine environment.

The project included a fully-integrated environmental analysis of the engineering design process including dredging, site selection, effluent management and non-indigenous species management.

It included detailed EcoNomics analyses to identify the most socially and environmentally beneficial engineering design approaches for each stage of the project.
