WorleyParsons completed a geophysical study using electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) to characterize and delineate the geological properties, the thickness of overlying muskeg, and the extent of the oil sands deposit in this exploration area.
The results helped Laricina Energy to properly assess the potential of the survey area and assisted in the design of future exploration drilling programs. Subsequent drilling programs by the client have confirmed the accuracy of our ERT results and have given the customer greater confidence in the regional trends of the ERT dataset.
