The London office has supported the delivery of mega-project developments in Kazakhstan and in particular the Caspian region for over 10 years – both offshore and onshore.

It is familiar with key issues that characterize the region, including climatic extremes, shallow water, ice build-up, seasonally constrained logistics, environmental sensitivity and limited infrastructure and industry capability. Our experience gained on projects such as Agip KCO’s massive Kashagan development and TCO’s Asset Development program provide many lessons learned readily transferable to other projects in the Caspian and other regions of the world where harsh project environments and complex logistics characterize the nature of the development.

Evidence of our depth of commitment to the Caspian region can be found in our Atyrau office. Established in 1997, the operation currently employs over 450 personnel, of whom over 85% are Kazakh nationals. The office has achieved many notable in-country firsts, including the performance of complex process FEED studies, the delivery of engineering, procurement and construction management services and the application of 3D CAD. WorleyParsons’ in-country presence is further strengthened by a number of long term relationships with leading Kazakhstan design institutes and specialist consultant, engineering and construction companies.
