NTECSEA provided BP with bid evaluation, preliminary engineering, hull specifications, and fabrication support of the spar and semi floating production facilities associated with Mad Dog, Holstein; Thunder Horse and NaKika GoM field developments

The facilities had water depths of 1,300 to 1,900 meters and production capacities of 90 to 250 K BOPD and 40 to 475 MMCFD.

These projects represented several industry firsts:

  • World’s largest capacity floating production facility
  • First spar polyester rope mooring system
  • Deepest moored semi in the world
  • Receipt of the OTC Distinguished Achievement Award
