The work encompassed 12 platforms and substantial tie-ins to existing facilities. WorleyParsons also commenced assisting Saudi Aramco on the refurbishment of the Marjan field ESD/control systems and various studies for the Karan field.
Since commencing work on the MPP project in 2003, our team has delivered 40 new platforms, 85 platform upgrades, 165 km of pipelines, 100 km of submarine power cables, five cranes and over 300 well hook-ups.
This experience, coupled with initiatives such as 3S, ensures WorleyParsons will continue to provide cost effective solutions for Saudi Aramco’s challenging development program.
Over the next three to five years, the program anticipates including approximately 10 platforms in the next work release, potentially followed by the major redevelopments of the Safaniya, Zuluf and Berri fields, with Safaniya alone including the installation of approximately 35 new platforms.
