INTECSEA and MARIN worked together to develop and execute a joint industry project (JIP) that included providing instrumentation for the platform for wind, wave and current data acquisition, tendon data acquisition, riser data acquisition and hull structure stress/strain data acquisition.

INTECSEA’s primary responsibility was to compare the measured data with the values generated by analytical tools.

The JIP had gathered data from several significant hurricanes passing by the platform, including Ivan, Katrina and Rita. Comparison of these data to the measured and calculated values validated our analytical tools and provided valuable input to the operation of the TLP.
