We are executing the Dry Sorbent Injection Retrofit Project for AEP’s Rockport Units 1 and 2. This new system, in conjunction with upgrades to the existing Activated Carbon Injection system and existing precipitators, will reduce emissions of acid gases, mercury, total particulate matter and other hazardous air pollutants. This work will ensure Rockport’s two 1300 MW coal-fired units are compliant with the EPA MATS regulations.
Over the course of this multi-year effort, WorleyParsons completed the Phase 1 engineering studies, project plan, conceptual design, and preliminary cost estimate. We are now proceeding with Phase 2, Detailed Design and Procurement.
